BASIC
RULES GOVERNING REGISTRATIONS
THE
International Progressive Dog Breedersâ Alliance (hereinafter IPDBA) separately
registers Setter Breeds.

Applications
must be written on IPDBAâs Application Forms, each entry on a separate
form. Forms will be furnished on receipt of a self-addressed stamped envelope
or download from www.NationalLSA.com/forms.htm
Kennel
Names (Prefixes or Suffixes)are
recorded for a one time fee $50.00;
A
certificate of title is issued and protected for all Kennel Names issued
under each specific breed.
Please
check to insure that the breeder of your dog has provided the certified
pedigree.
A
space for each is provided on the registration form.Both
the breeder and the buyer are protected by this practice.
Individual
Registration Application Forms must
show (1) pedigree of two generations, (2) specific breed, (3) color, (4)
exact markings, (5) sex, (6) DOB/age, (7) ID Chip number & manufacturer,
(8) Tattoo, (9) 3 photos (front and both sides side showing back
of dog), and (10) ownerâs or lesseeâs name[s] and addresses[s].A
Certificate of Owner[s] or Lessee[s] of Dam is printed at the bottom of
the application form.Certificates
signed with Kennel Name will not be accepted unless the Kennel Name is
recorded and must also be accompanied by the personal signature of the
Owner[s] of the Kennel Name.

Litter
Enrollment Application:
(1) Both
the Sire and Dam must be registered with the IPDBA.(2)
Both the Sire and Dam must have an ID Chip and Tattoo.(3)
The owner of both the Sire and the Dam must sign the Litter Registration
Form.(4) The number and color of
pups of each sex in the litter must be entered.(5)
The list and explanation of accepted color identification codes shown in
the Complete Rules must be followed.(6)
Litter Enrollments are required on litters born after July 31, 2002.The
signature of the owner(s) of both Sire and Dam are required on the Litter
Registration Form.Certificates
signed with Kennel Name will not be accepted unless the Kennel Name is
recorded with IPDBA and must also be accompanied by the personal signature
of the Owner(s) of the Kennel Name.The
breeder is the owner(s) of the dam at time of service.After
the owner of the litter has signed and dated paper, the new owner must
send the registration fee with 3 clear color photos of front, and both
sides of puppy/dog to the IPDBA address.Pedigrees
up to 5 generations will be issued when available for $10.00 extra.

Requests
for the following are to be attached to a completed Application for Registration
Form:
Names
Claimed for
registration must not exceed three words with 35 maximum letters.The
exception of extensions such as the use of Roman Numerals and JR will be
permitted only after the name of a direct son or daughter.Only
the owner of the sire will be allowed to use this type of extension.Each
of these spaces is counted as a letter.Draw
a diagonal line between the 3 names if all spaces need to be used.Duplicate
names are never permitted.
Name
Changes:The
Original certificate must be returned with the name change desired.Upon
completion of the entire form and the verification of signature(s) a new
certificate will be issued.Names
cannot be changed if a litter has been registered from the given dog.Name
changes will not be allowed on transfer from another Stud Book.
NAME
CHANGE SUBMISSION Ten dollars
($10.00)
Transfers
of Ownership: The
Registration Certificate provides a space for the transfer of ownership.The
original Stud Book certificate, showing transfer, must be sent to us for
recording in the IPDBA.After certification
a new registration certificate will be issued to the new owner.We
will recognize no transfer of ownership of dog unless the transfer is recorded.Breeders
and purchasers alike will thus be protected against fraud, and possess
safe title in the dog and breeding.ID
Chip and Tattoo information are required on Transfer of Ownership.Transfers
concerning a deceased owner or dogs sold through a court ordered sale will
be handled by submission of documentation fitting such circumstance by
law.
TRANSFER
OF OWNERSHIP Ten dollars ($10.00)
Transfers
From Another Stud Book:The
application (use Individual Registration Form) must accompany (1)
a photocopy of the original clubâs Registration Certificate, (2) a
certified 5-generation pedigree, (3) 3 photos (front, right
& left side showing back of dog) of the offered dog, AND (5) an
ID Chip and Tattoo.
TRANSFER
FROM ANOTHER STUD BOOK= Fee Without
Litter Enrollment Fifteen dollars
($15.00)
Duplicate
Registration Certificates
will be issued only to and in the name of recorded owner on receipt of
information that the original has been lost or destroyed.
DUPLICATE
